DISNEYLAND OFFERS DISCOUNTED FUN IN THE AFTERNOON FOR SENIORS
ANAHEIM, Calif., Dec. 12 /PRNewswire/ -- Seniors age 60 and over may purchase discounted passports for $13 (regularly $22) for a limited time only, when they mention the Senior "Holly" Days discount at the group sales window at Disneyland. These special passports include unlimited use of all Disneyland attractions (except arcades), however, they are only valid from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Dec. 13 and Dec. 16-20, not including Saturdays and Sundays. An abundance of quaint shops add to the holiday shopping opportunities from Main Street to New Orleans Square. The Senior "Holly" Days guests will be treated to a sleighful of Disneyland adventures.
In Fantasyland, "Mickey's Nutcracker," the newest holiday stage show, entertains guests daily with a tongue-in-cheek version of Tchaikovsky's classic ballet. "The Enchanted Book Shoppe," based on Walt Disney Pictures newest animated classic, "Beauty and the Beast," is another new heartwarming show appearing on stage at Carnation Plaza Gardens.
The traditional "Very Merry Christmas Parade" marches down Main Street U.S.A. with shiny toy soldiers, dancing snowmen and snowwomen, glittery snow flakes, giant prancing reindeer and of course, Mickey and Minnie Mouse, among other Disney favorites.
Holiday entertainment is in full swing with Santa Claus at Big Thunder Ranch and new, festive stage shows. Adorned with hundreds of decorations, the regal 60-foot Christmas tree stands ready to welcome guests from around the world. In the shadow of this giant fir, Dickens Carolers sing favorite holiday tunes as they stroll down Main Street, U.S.A.
Disneyland offers over 50 attractions in seven themed areas, including the swashbuckling "Pirates of the Caribbean" and the ever- popular "It's a Small World."
The group sales window is open until 4 p.m. daily. Disneyland parking is $5.00. For more information on the Senior "Holly" Days discount, call 714-490-3232 or 213-626-8605, ext. 3232.
