DISCOUNT TRAVEL PROGRAMS STRETCH VACATION DOLLARS IN '93

TROY, Mich., April 8 /PRNewswire/ -- 1993 is another strong year for discount travel and leisure programs as more Americans look for new ways to stretch their travel dollars without sacrificing quality, according to Entertainment Publications, Inc., the world's largest publisher of discount travel and recreational savings programs, which sold over 4 million discount travel guides and directories in 1992.
The Entertainment(R) guides are filled with hundreds of hotels and resorts which offer 50-percent discounts with advance reservations. With these discounts, travelers on a mid-priced budget can improve their accommodations. For example, travelers upgrade to three- or four-star hotels. Or they use their discount to upgrade a room to a suite. Others use the savings to extend their vacations or enjoy the pleasure of local activities and tours.
Entertainment(R) offers travel guides to fit nearly any vacation itinerary. "Travel America at HalfPrice(R)" features 50-percent discounts at 2,500 hotels and resorts throughout North America and Canada. "HalfPrice Europe(TM)" presents discounts for over 700 hotels in 38 countries.
Individual city editions are available for Orlando, Fla., Hawaii, New York City, Los Angeles and 115 additional cities throughout the United States and Canada. Each guide includes hundreds of 2-for-1 and half-price discounts for local fine and casual restaurants, sports and cultural events, attractions and hundreds of hotels and resorts throughout North America.
