DIRT DEVIL WET-DRY CLEANERS DUE FOR SUMMER ROLLOUT

CHICAGO, Jan. 17 /PRNewswire/ -- Using the 1994 International Housewares Show as a forum to unveil its upcoming line of Wet-Dry vacs, Royal Appliance Mfg. Co. (NYSE: RAM) announced that these units will be available to consumers this summer.
Giving eager buyers and manufacturers' reps a chance to see the three (3) new machines, Royal believes that this latest venture will complement its entire line of floorcare products. "It seemed only natural that we would expand into the Wet-Dry market given our proven success in the floorcare industry," said Rebecca Mittler, Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Royal.
Product Manager, Rick Farone, is also enthusiastic about the new line. "We're very happy with the unique design and features of our Wet- Dry vacs. The units were well received in the consumer focus research that we conducted."
Separating the Dirt Devil Wet-Dry line from others of its kind is its tip-resistant design. The unit has a low center of gravity and a wide wheel base; this shape along with outboard wheels enhances stability and minimizes tipping.
A unique detachable blower that's ideal for leaf blowing is a feature of the Dirt Devil Wet-Dry. In addition, all units include a large assortment of tools that are stored in the convenient built-in tool caddy.
The Dirt Devil Wet-Dry line has a suggested everyday price range from $79.95 to $119.95 and the line ranges in peak horsepowers from 2.5 to 4.0. The line has additional variations in gallon capacity, cord length as well as filter type.
A 2 year warranty applies to each Dirt Devil Wet-Dry cleaner.
