DIRECTORS REELECTED TO TRACOR BOARD AT ANNUAL MEETING OF STOCKHOLDERS
 AUSTIN, May 21 /PRNewswire/ -- Shareholders today at the Tracor, Inc. annual meeting of stockholders reelected all six members of the Tracor board of directors and voted to ratify the appointment by the board of Ernst & Young as the company's independent public accountants for 1992. In addition, shareholders voted to approve the ratification of the adoption by the board of the stock plan for employees of Tracor and its subsidiaries.
 Elected to serve on Tracor's board are Dr. Julian Davidson, senior vice president, Booz, Allen & Hamilton, Program Development Division, Bethesda, Md.; Anthony Grillo, managing director of The Blackstone Group, New York, N.Y.; Bob Marbut, chairman and chief executive officer, The Argyle Group, San Antonio, Texas; Elvis L. Mason, managing partner, Mason Best Company, Dallas, Texas; James B. Skaggs, president and chief executive officer, Tracor, Inc., Austin; and Dr. Jasper A. Welch, consultant and retired U.S. Air Force Major General, Arlington, Va.
 Tracor on Monday announced first quarter sales of $59,176,000 and net income of $797,000, or $.08 per share, based upon shares currently outstanding.
 Tracor's backlog at March 31, 1992, stood at $335 million, representing a growth of 15 percent during the quarter. In addition, unexercised contract options were $511 million, 24 percent higher than at the beginning of the quarter.
 Tracor provides a broad range of technological products, systems, and services for diverse government and commercial markets. The company is a significant engineering and support contractor in communications and sonar; a leader in the development and production of electronic countermeasures systems and other advanced defense electronics; and a major source for comprehensive flight testing, training, and aircraft modification services.
