 DIRECTORS ELECTED TO MONTANA POWER/ENTECH BOARDS
 BUTTE, Mont., Jan. 8 /PRNewswire/ -- Prominent Montana


businesswomen have been selected to serve on the boards of The Montana Power Co. (MPC) (NYSE: MTP) and its diversified energy subsidiary, Entech Inc., announced Paul Schmechel, MPC and Entech board chairman.
 Kay Foster, 50, will replace George D. Anderson who recently retired from the Montana Power board.
 Beverly D. Harris, 58, will fill Anderson's position on the Entech Inc. board.
 Foster is president of PLANTERIORS Unlimited, a business she founded in Billings, Mont. She also chairs the board of St. Vincent Hospital and is a director of the Montana TradePort Authority Commission, the Billings Area Chamber of Commerce and the Montana Ambassadors, a state-wide business group active in economic development.
 Harris is president and a director of Empire Federal Savings and Loan Association of Livingston, Mont. She also serves on the Audit and Budget Committee of the board of directors of the Federal Home Loan Bank of Seattle, and on the Audit Committee of the board of directors of the Helena Branch of the Minneapolis Federal Reserve Bank.
