DIRECT TO RETAIL PURCHASES TRIPLEDGE(R) BRAND AND WORLDWIDE MANUFACTURING RIGHTS

 NATICK, Mass., April 6 /PRNewswire/ -- Direct To Retail today announced its purchase of the TRIPLEDGE(R) Lifetime Wipers brand and worldwide manufacturing rights. The purchase agreement includes full title to all patents, trademarks and intellectual property, as well as existing inventory.
 TRIPLEDGE(R) Lifetime Wipers became number one in aftermarket replacement wiper blade sales in the United States in 1992. Direct To Retail became involved with the product in November of 1991 when it obtained the exclusive rights to distribute the product at retail from Dallas-based Lifetime Automotive Products, Inc.
 "Retailers today demand on orderly market in terms of distribution, timely delivery and high product quality," said Victor N. Grillo, president of Direct To Retail. "With this purchase, we are confirming to our retail customer base our ongoing commitment to long term brand development and support."
 Terms of the sale include an all cash purchase of existing inventory and a 10-year royalty payment agreement with Lifetime Automotive Products.
 Grillo added, "We are excited to have TRIPLEDGE(R) as a permanent, integral part of Direct To Retail."
 Direct To Retail is a privately held company that is the exclusive distributor of other successful consumer brands, such as Didiseven(R), Durashears(R), Ginsu 2000(R), Colorcote(TM) by Auri(R), Hydron Plus(TM), Easy Stripper(TM), Topsytail(TM), Betterblocks(TM) and Anthony Robbins' "The Power To Succeed". The firm is based in Natick, Mass., and has offices in Boca Raton, Fla.
