DIGITAL SYSTEMS AND ARISTACOM TO CO-MARKET CTI SOLUTIONS

DALLAS, Feb. 23 /PRNewswire/ -- A co-marketing partnership between Digital Systems International Inc. (NASDAQ-NMS: DGTL) of Redmond, Wash., and Aristacom International Inc. of Alameda, Calif., was announced today at the Call Center '93 and Computer-Telephone Integration '93 conferences, Digital Systems said. This partnership has been formed to provide powerful new customer-information management capabilities to companies that have AT&T DEFINITY(R) G3 switches and IBM's 3090 class of mainframe computers.
Digital Systems is a leading provider of inbound and outbound call management systems. The company today unveiled its newest product line, MOSAIX(TM) which integrates its Intelligent Call Management(TM) applications with industry-leading PBX systems using computer-telephone integration (CTI) (see related announcement, "Digital Systems Unveils New Product Line"). Aristacom provides the SCIL LINK(TM) (pronounced "skill") inbound call management capabilities that simultaneously deliver a call and the caller's record to a service representative. This new partnership combines the strengths of both companies to offer customers the most comprehensive set of call management capabilities and applications available today.
Digital Systems' MOSAIX will enable organizations to simultaneously optimize both inbound and outbound call productivity and service levels through the automatic and seamless transition of agents between inbound and outbound based on real-time information on incoming call volume.
Aristacom's mainframe-based switch/computer communications and data management capabilities supplement the Digital Systems environment to substantially improve call center productivity by using intelligent network services including ANI (automatic number identification) and DNIS (dialed number identification services).
According to Buzz Brooks, Aristacom's vice president of sales and marketing, "This marketing partnership adds a new dimension to the integrated voice/data capabilities available to customers today. Digital Systems' recognized leadership position as a provider of Intelligent Call Management capabilities expands traditional CTI into broader market areas and applications."
"Digital Systems is aggressively moving to address the major market opportunities within inbound call centers. We have structured a working relationship with Aristacom to accelerate our penetration within this new market. Digital Systems recognizes Aristacom as a leader in providing sophisticated CTI applications to improve the efficiency and quality of incoming call missions," said Mark C. Perrin, senior vice president of Digital Systems. "Our relationship allows us to work closely with Aristacom to provide our customers with the most effective applications for outbound and inbound call processing."
The first major implementation of the combined Digital Systems/Aristacom capabilities is underway at AT&T Universal Card Services.
