DIGITAL MUSIC EXPRESS TO OFFER TWO NEW LATIN CHANNELS

Ranchero/Tejano and Salsa Formats Added to Channel
Line-Up of Leading Digital Audio Service
LOS ANGELES, May 5 /PRNewswire/ -- On the cutting edge of today's hottest music trends, Digital Music Express (DMX), the nation's leading premium digital audio service, has added Ranchero/Tejano and Salsa formats to its 30-channel line-up beginning April 28.
From San Antonio to Los Angeles, the hugely popular, up-tempo blend of the Tex-Mex sounds of Tejano and the Spanish Country of Ranchero is changing the face of Hispanic music in America. Featuring such breakthrough artists as La Mafia, Banda Machos, Mazz, Selena, Emilio Navaira, La Fiebra, La Sombra, Los Tigres de Norte, Fama and more, Ranchero/Tejano replaces Latin Ballads in the DMX line-up on Channel 13.
DMX further refines its Latin music programming with the addition of a new Salsa format on Channel 14. Showcasing the hot and sexy Caribbean dance rhythms of Celia Cruz, Tito Puento, Ruben Blades, Frankie Ruez, Groupa Niche and others, Salsa joins the DMX line-up on Channel 14, taking the place of the previously programmed Latin Rhythms.
"At DMX, we have a strong commitment to playing the newest music, playing it first and bringing our listeners more of the music they want. Our new Ranchero/Tejano format is a perfect example of that," said Jerry Rubinstein, chairman and chief executive officer of International Cablecasting Technologies Inc. (NASDAQ-NMS: TUNE), (ICT), parent company of DMX.
"Once just a regional genre, Ranchero/Tejano is poised to explode on the national music scene," explains Rubinstein. "With its rock, pop and country influences, it is attracting a broader, more youthful audience than traditional Latin music, with skyrocketing record sales and sold-out concerts. Seldom heard on the radio outside of the Southwest -- where it is drawing record ratings in cities like San Antonio and Los Angeles -- we're excited to be able to offer this hot new format to our Hispanic listeners across the country."
The flagship product of Los Angeles-based International Cablecasting Technologies Inc., DMX brings home the ultimate music experience, delivering 30 channels of the highest quality, uninterrupted compact disc-standard music programming directly to home stereo systems. With a wide variety of specially programmed music formats -- from Big Bands to rhythm and blues; rock and reggae to soul and symphonies, country to classical -- drawn from the industry's most comprehensive compact disc library and digitally delivered via cable, DMX continuously delivers more of the music today's listeners want, when they want it, all commercial and disc jockey-free.
Launched in late 1991, DMX is offered by more than 50 leading multiple system operators and is available in nearly 400 cable systems in 46 states nationwide. Publicly traded on NASDAQ/NMS (TUNE), the company is backed by some of the industry's leading players, including Tele-Communications Inc. (TCI), Scientific- Atlanta, Viacom, KBLCOM, Scripps Howard, Colony Communications, Crown Media Inc., and Shaw Cablesystems of Canada.
