 DIGITAL F/X EXPANDS SALES ORGANIZATION;
 RECENT MICROTIME ACQUISITION ESTABLISHES TWO-COAST OPERATION
 MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif., Oct. 21 /PRNewswire/ -- Digital F/X Inc., the award-winning producer of digital video and audio solutions, today announced a major expansion of its sales and service force by more than 200 percent. With the acquisition of Microtime, a recognized leader of 3D video effects systems, Digital F/X has established east and west coast offices of highly specialized teams of sales and service technicians to increase the support of Digital F/X and Microtime customers throughout the United States, Canada and Mexico.
 "We recognized the need to support the video industry from both coasts as well as making ourselves more available to the professional studios in the central states," said Rolando Esteverena, president and chief executive officer of Digital F/X. "This move gives us unprecedented effectiveness in marketing, distributing, and servicing Digital F/X's Composium digital production suite as well as Microtime's IMPACT line of 3D special effects."
 Appointed to key positions were Sheila Ross, director of Video Products, West, and Marty Frange, director of Video Products, East. The combined video experience of this team spans more than four decades, and is supported by more than a dozen regional video sales specialists.
 Ross joined Digital F/X in 1987. She has sales responsibility for the Composium and IMPACT lines, and her territory includes the western United States, British Columbia and Mexico. Ross is based in Silicon Valley, Calif.
 Frange started with Microtime in 1989, and is based in New York. He joined Digital F/X when the companies merged in October 1992, and has sales responsibility for the Composium and IMPACT lines. His territory covers the eastern United States, and includes Toronto and the Caribbean.
 The Composium digital production suite integrates a four-layer digital keyer, keyframe edit control of six VTRs, realtime digital effects with perspective and curls, multi-level paint, a central digital library and video typography. Video composers can create the most sophisticated graphics and effects in a much more manageable and cost- effective room. A unique "Master Decision List" holds all data for easy repeatability of complex effects editing events.
 IMPACT creates and manipulates fly-through 3D objects in realtime and maps up to three video sources on multiple surfaces in a single pass. Prior to IMPACT, creating a 3D look was expensive, time consuming, and disruptive to the creative process. IMPACT makes 3D effects a useful and practical tool in the on-line suite, allowing post production facilities to save considerable time and money by eliminating the off-line graphics step from the production cycle.
 Based in Mountain View, Digital F/X Inc. manufactures and markets digital video and audio post-production systems for the professional and emerging desktop markets. Integrating computer technology with proprietary hardware and software, Digital F/X is an award-winning technological leader in providing video and audio solutions.
