DIGITAL F/X BRINGS LEADING EDGE TECHNOLOGY TO THE CLASSROOM; 'EDUCATION LABPACK' TEACHES DESKTOP VIDEO EDITING

 MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif., Jan. 5 /PRNewswire/ -- Digital F/X Inc., the award-winning producer of digital video and audio solutions, today introduced the "Education LabPack" which provides the curricular program, tools, and methodology to successfully introduce students to the video production technologies that are shaping the future of communications.
 "Educators are constantly faced with budgetary and time constraints, as well as trying to keep up with the latest in technology," said Richard Snee, product manager for Video F/X. "The LabPack from Digital F/X gives instructors affordable, easily understood tools to communicate the constantly changing world of high technology to their students."
 The Education LabPack, which easily integrates into existing curriculums, includes: the Faculty Print Guide; non-linear editing with Student Application Software (for Mac IIci or later); Interactive Tutorial and Lessons, Assignments/Exercises on CD-ROM; and Videotape Source Footage including excerpts from a professionally produced commercial, TV show, news program, feature film and music video. Demo disks of the tutorial are available at MacWorld Expo/San Francisco in the Digital F/X booth, no. 2049 at Moscone Center.
 Also currently available from Digital F/X is the Video Glossary, a compendium of the buzz words and technical language used in the video industry. The glossary retails for $5.95, but is available at no charge at the Digital F/X booth during MacWorld Expo.
 The Education LabPack retails for $2,995 and will ship in January. A special Video F/X Plus and LabPack bundle is available for $15,995.
