DIGITAL BIOMETRICS COMPLETES ACQUISITION OF DESIGN DATA INCORPORATED

 MINNETONKA, Minn., Oct. 11 /PRNewswire/ -- Digital Biometrics, Inc. (NASDAQ: DBII), a Minnetonka-based manufacturer of "live-scan" electronic fingerprint systems, today announced completion of the acquisition of Design Data Incorporated for a total purchase price of $1,150,000, excluding legal, accounting and other transaction costs. The purchase consists of issuance of common stock and assumption of liabilities.
 Design Data has recently completed development of several unique software applications used by law enforcement agencies to enhance criminal history files. In particular, products include gang and narcotics suspect relational database management with integrated imaging and document scanning which can facilitate searches on a wide range of criteria.
 Jack A. Klingert, president and chief executive officer of Digital Biometrics, said, "We are pleased to move forward on completing the acquisition of Design Data. Design Data's products are synergistic with products currently offered by Digital Biometrics and are able to operate on the same hardware.
