 DIGI INTERNATIONAL DIVISION SUPPORTS UNIVEL'S UNIXWARE;
 PROVIDES SERIAL CONNECTIVITY FOR UNIXWARE SYSTEMS
 MINNEAPOLIS, Aug. 17 /PRNewswire/ -- Digi International Inc.'s (NASDAQ: DGII) DigiBoard division, the leading provider of connectivity solutions for multiuser microcomputer systems, has announced support for Univel's new UnixWare operating system. UnixWare is the name of a family of products from Univel which bring UNIX power to the end user.
 DigiBoard's line of serial multiport communications boards, including the new DigiCHANNEL PC/Xem and the industry-leading DigiCHANNEL C/X System cluster controllers, will all support Univel's operating environment.

 DigiBoard is working closely with Univel to insure the complete compatibility of the DigiCHANNEL product line with UnixWare. DigiBoard will also be participating in Univel's Early Access Program.
