 DIGI INTERNATIONAL DIVISION ANNOUNCES STRATEGIC ALLIANCE
 AGREEMENT WITH CITRIX SYSTEMS
 EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn., Aug. 17 /PRNewswire/ -- Digi International Inc.'s (NASDAQ: DGII) DigiBoard division, which is the leading provider of connectivity solutions for multiuser microcomputer systems, has entered into a strategic alliance agreement with Citrix Systems, Inc. of Coral Springs, Fla. Citrix Systems develops and markets advanced microcomputer systems software, including Citrix MULTIUSER, the industry standard multiuser platform for DOS, Windows and OS/2 applications.
 Under the agreement DigiBoard and Citrix Systems will cooperate on joint marketing programs and development projects. Development projects will be initiated to optimize DigiBoard's hardware and Citrix Systems' software to provide the best possible performance when used together. The companies will also work to provide complimentary technical support for installations using both MULTIUSER and DigiBoard's DigiCHANNEL solutions.

 DigiBoard is working closely with Citrix Systems to optimize the DigiCHANNEL product line for use with the MULTIUSER operating system. The companies will be working closely together on further technological developments in conjunction with the recent release of MULTIUSER 2.0. Furthermore, Citrix has signed an agreement with Microsoft to develop multiuser and network extensions for Windows NT and DigiBoard will be optimizing its boards for use with these technologies as well. The DigiCHANNEL line of products, including the MV/4 multiconsole graphics solution and DigiBoard's entire line of multiport serial I/O subsystems, will be the products of choice for use with MULTIUSER and the NT extensions.
 Both companies have extensive industry alliances with leading vendors, including such giants as IBM, Microsoft, Compaq and Novell. DigiBoard and Citrix Systems will cooperate to pursue both mutual development and marketing agreements with these companies.
