 DIGI INTERNATIONAL ANNOUNCES MANAGEMENT CHANGES
 MINNEAPOLIS, Dec. 18 /PRNewswire/ -- Digi International

(NASDAQ: DGII) of Minneapolis today announced that John Schinas, chairman of the board and chief executive officer, will retire as chief executive officer effective Jan. 27, 1992, and that Mykola Moroz, president and chief operating officer, was elected to succeed Schinas as chief executive officer on that date. Schinas will continue to serve the company as its chairman of the board.
Schinas stated: "My resignation as chief executive officer fulfills my previously stated intention to step down from that position during the current fiscal year. Mike Moroz is an outstanding choice to succeed me as CEO. Mike and I have work together closely for many years, and he was instrumental in the founding of Digi and its development to the present stage. I will remain chairman of the board, and will still be actively involved in corporate strategy, product planning and marketing direction. Of course, I will continue to be a very substantial shareholder."
Moroz stated: "Digi today is a product of John Schinas' strategic vision. He correctly foresaw the proliferation of microcomputers, the broad acceptance of UNIX-based operating systems and the exploding demand for multiuser products. He assembled a very capable management team that I will continue to rely upon as CEO."
Digi International Inc. is the leading producer of data communications hardware and software products that permit microcomputers to function as multiuser systems in a variety of operating system environments. The company produces these communications subsystems under the DigiBoard and Arnet tradenames for the rapidly growing microcomputer connectivity market.
