DIEBOLD SUPPLIES CASH DISPENSERS TO EDS

 CANTON, Ohio, May 11 /PRNewswire/ -- Diebold, Incorporated (NYSE: DBD) has been named the exclusive supplier of new i Series cash dispensers to EDS Corporation for placement by EDS in Southland Corporation 7-Eleven stores throughout most of the United States.
 Diebold will supply up to 4,000 InterBold(R) i Series(TM) cash dispensers over a three to four year period and provide hardware maintenance for 10 years. "We are pleased to be selected by EDS for our cash dispensers and hardware maintenance capabilities," says Robert W. Mahoney, chairman and chief executive officer of Diebold. "Our i Series products will provide convenient access to cash for 7-Eleven customers."
 In the initial phase, Diebold expects to supply 1,500 of the machines over the next 12 months, beginning in June.
 "We chose the i Series because of its reliability, advanced technology and ease to upgrade," says Neil Marcous, vice president and general manager of EDS Electronic Commerce Division. "The machines will enable us to offer customers added services as new technology develops."
