DIAMOND STAR PROMOTES TWO EMPLOYEES

 NORMAL, Ill., May 14 /PRNewswire/ -- Diamond-Star Motors Corp. (DSM) has named two new managers within the procurement and supply department. The promotions are effective immediately.
 Richard Reno has been named manager, trim and electrical production purchasing. Reno joined DSM in March 1987 as a production parts buyer. He was promoted to branch manager in May 1991. Possessing more than 15 years of purchasing expertise, Reno was employed as a buyer in the automotive division of Colt Industries in Troy, Mich., and a purchasing agent at Gulf and Western Manufacturing Company in Southfield, Mich., prior to joining Diamond-Star. He holds a bachelor's degree from Northern Michigan University.
 Victor Audo has been named manager, chassis and powertrain production purchasing. Audo came to DSM in May 1991 as a production parts buyer. He was promoted to branch manager in November 1992. Prior to joining Diamond-Star, Audo held various engine engineering and supplier quality positions during his 10-year tenure with Chrysler Corp.
 An Urbana, Ill., native, he holds a bachelor's degree in engineering from the University of Illinois and an MBA from the University of Michigan. Audo also possesses the professional designations of Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), Certified Reliability Engineer (CRE) and Certified Quality Auditor (CQA) awarded through the American Society of Quality Control and is a licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) in Michigan.
 Diamond-Star Motors, a subsidiary of Mitsubishi Motors Corp., produces the Mitsubishi Eclipse and Galant, the Eagle Talon and the Plymouth Laser.
