DIAGNOSTEK ANNOUNCES REVENUES FOR FISCAL YEAR 1991 ALBUQUERQUE, N.M., May 29 /PRNewswire/ -- Diagnostek, Inc.
(NYSE: DXK), announced today that it expects that revenues and earnings per share for the fiscal year ended March 31, 1992, will be $293.8 million and $.61 per share, respectively. These preliminary unaudited results represent an increase of 30 percent over the prior year revenues of $225.2 million and an increase of 74 percent over prior year earnings per share of $.35.
For the quarter ended March 31, 1992, revenues and earnings per share were $80.3 million and $.17 per share, respectively. Revenues for the quarter increased 25 percent from $64.3 million for the prior year period and earnings per share increased 55 percent from $.11 per share for the prior year period. Revenues from the company's mail service pharmacy business, Health Care Services, Inc. (HCS), for the fiscal year ended March 31, 1992, were $207.6 million and $150.4 million for the prior year, an increase of 38 percent. HCS' operating income for the year is expected to be $17.6 million compared to $12.6 million for the prior year, an increase of 40 percent. Notwithstanding HCS' increase in revenues and operating income there were certain unanticipated decreases in HCS' operating margin in the quarter ended March 31, 1992. The effects of such decreases reduced the company's anticipated earnings per share by approximately $.03 per share. Other minor non-recurring items reduced anticipated earnings per share by approximately $.01 per share.
