DI Khan jailbreak: 40 policemen including ASI dismissed for negligence.

DERA ISMAIL KHAN -- As many as 40 policemen including an assistant sub-inspector (ASI) have been dismissed after an inquiry established that their negligence led o the DI Khan jailbreak and around 200 inmates had fled the jail two years back.

According to the district police officer (DPO) DI Khan, the dismissed police men almost all constables and head constables, have the right to file appeals in their respective department and the Services Tribunal.

On July 28, 2013, unidentified terrorists attacked the DI Khan Central Jail and during an exchange of fire five policemen, four jail inmates and two private security guards were killed.
