DETROIT RECORDING ARTISTS CALVIN BROOKS, HARI PARIS TO SHOOT
MUSIC VIDEO OF HIT RECORD AT FOX THEATRE
DETROIT, May 4 /PRNewswire/ -- CB Records, an independent record company founded by recording artist Calvin Brooks, will shoot a music video of its hit recording "My Favorite Thing" featuring vocalist Hari Paris, today in the grand lobby of the Fox Theatre.
The title track to a unique and versatile album which was recorded and produced in Detroit, "My Favorite Thing" is a love ballad that has taken Detroit by storm. Its popularity has spread like wildfire to other cities in the U.S. as well as abroad -- it is currently the No. 1 record in London. Distribution is planned for all of Europe and Japan.
"We are very pleased with the reception to 'My Favorite Thing,' and with the excitement the entire album is generating," said Brooks, the album's executive producer and promoter. "The Song, written by Hari, conjures up very strong, universal images of a special love for someone, and Hari's creative treatment of the video will bring these images to life."
The video is slated for national release this summer.
Brooks, a smooth and jazzy guitarist, produced his first recording under CB Records, "A Smooth Flight," in 1989. Future plans for CB Records include the recording of a new album before the end of this year and the inclusion of other artists on the CB Record label.
Shooting of the "My Favorite Thing" music video will begin in the lobby of the Fox Theatre at 11 a.m. today and is expected to end by 4 p.m.
