DETROIT NEWSPAPER AGENCY APPOINTS PIERCE VICE PRESIDENT OF OPERATIONS

DETROIT, Jan. 12 /PRNewswire/ -- Keith Pierce has been appointed vice president of operations for the Detroit Newspaper Agency effective Monday, Jan. 18, according to Frank J. Vega, president and chief executive officer. He will oversee all production and plant operations. Pierce, 45, comes from the New York Daily News where he most recently served as vice president of engineering and production director. He had been with the Daily News since 1990.
In making this appointment, Vega said, "This completely rounds out the executive committee here at the DNA, giving us the full range of talent and expertise we need to move ahead."
Prior to his tenure in New York, Pierce spent five years as vice president of operations for Foote and Davies, an $80 million commercial printing company specializing in high-quality specialty and retail catalogues. He also has experience with Brown Printing Company, Waseca, Minn.; Case-Hoyt Corporation, Rochester, N.Y.; and in the Web Press Division of Harris Corporation, Westerly, R.I.
Pierce has a bachelor of science in mechanical engineering from Northeastern University, Boston; and an MBA in industrial administration and marketing from the University of Connecticut, Storrs, Conn. He is married and has three children.
