 DELTA BOARD CREATES TWO NEW DIVISIONS
 PROMOTES AND REASSIGNS OFFICERS
 ATLANTA, Jan. 24 /PRNewswire/ -- The Board of Directors of Delta Air Lines, (NYSE: DAL) at their regular quarterly meeting in Atlanta, created two new divisions, renamed three other divisions, promoted a number of officers and reassigned others effective Feb. 1, 1992.
 Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer Ronald W. Allen announced these Board actions. He said: "Delta has grown considerably during the past year, and we are very pleased with the results of our expansion. During the next few months we will put much effort into the consolidation and efficiency of our expanded operation. The new structure maintains a lean and aggressive management organization and is designed to ensure continued hands-on leadership of Delta's worldwide operation."
 In outlining the details of the Board's action, Allen explained that in each case Delta's time-proven promotion from within policy had produced the highly-qualified individuals who were ready to assume their new duties.
 The new Administrative Services Division will be headed by Senior Vice President Rex A. McClelland, a 37 year Delta veteran. He presently heads Delta's Operations Division. Properties, Communications and Information Services, Administrative Services, Facilities and Public Relations are functions assigned to this new division.
 The new Marketing Development and Planning Division will be headed by Senior Vice President Robert W. Coggin, a 36 year Delta veteran. He is presently vice president - marketing development. Advertising and Sales Promotion, International Route Development, Pricing and Revenue Control and Schedule Development are functions assigned to this new division.
 Three existing divisions were renamed to better reflect their responsibilities in the reorganized management structure. The Marketing Division becomes the Sales Division, the Stations Division becomes the Airport Customer Service Division and Corporate and External Affairs becomes the Corporate Affairs Division.
 Captain Harry C. Alger, a 26 year Delta veteran, was promoted to senior vice president - operations to replace Rex McClelland who will head the new Administrative Services Division. Captain Alger is presently vice president - flight operations and chief pilot.
 Promoted from assistant vice president were Walter E. Doll to vice president - flight control and P. Harris Morris to vice president - properties. Promoted to assistant vice president were James G. Matthews assistant vice president - internal auditing; James H. Sanregret assistant vice president - financial planning and control; Captain Reuben Black assistant vice president - flight operations and chief pilot; Captain H. D. Greenberg assistant vice president - flight operations administration; Leon A. Piper assistant vice president - personnel benefits; and Tom Kerns assistant vice president - international marketing.
 Reassignments announced by the Board were Robert H. Cowart from vice president - technical services to vice president - administrative services and W. Martin Braham from assistant vice president - stations to assistant vice president - international airport customer service.
 "This reorganization puts in place the people and the management structure for the very lean and efficient airline Delta is evolving into as we perfect the achievements of our acquisitions and internal growth of the past year," Allen concluded.
