 FLIGHT OR CLASS OF SERVICE UPGRADES
 Delta Enhances Free International Flight Offer
 ATLANTA, March 12 /PRNewswire/ -- Delta Air Lines (NYSE: DAL), responding to actions of its competitors which introduced free tickets for international travel, today enhanced the offer with its new "BetterBonus" program.
 Delta is offering a free ticket or class of service upgrades on international flights to passengers completing a round-trip Delta flight to one of 20 cities in Europe and Japan.
 Delta's "BetterBonus" offer is available to passengers traveling full-fare to any of the 20 overseas destinations between now and June 15, 1992. Travelers will receive a certificate good either for a free ticket for international travel between September 15, 1992, and February 28, 1993, or for free international upgrades for use on flights between September 15, 1992, and May 31, 1993. The Delta tickets or upgrades may be used to any of 55 Delta cities throughout Europe, Japan, Canada, Mexico and the Caribbean.
 "During this 500th anniversary of Columbus' historic voyage, Delta invites its customers to discover the world for themselves by taking an extra international trip," said Al Kolakowski, the airline's senior vice president - sales. "The 'BetterBonus' offer enables travelers flying first class to the qualifying cities to receive one free business class ticket or three one-class upgrades. Business or full-fare coach passengers will get one free coach class ticket or two one-class upgrades -- it's that simple."
 The free ticket or upgrades offer is available only to Delta Frequent Flyer Program members. Travelers not already members of the Frequent Flyer Program can enroll immediately and become eligible for the "BetterBonus" offer.
 A major global carrier, Delta serves 221 cities in 34 countries with a modern fleet of 551 aircraft operating 2,865 flights each day.
