DELTA AIR LINES LOWERS TRANSATLANTIC FARES; UP TO 45 PERCENT
SAVINGS ON NO ADVANCE PURCHASE, FULLY REFUNDABLE FARES TO EUROPE
ATLANTA, June 8 /PRNewswire/ -- Delta Air Lines (NYSE: DAL) today announced a deduction in full coach, business and first class fares for travel throughout the summer months.
The fares, which are subject to governmental approval, offer considerable savings on fully refundable tickets for round-trip travel from the continental U.S. to any of Delta's 36 transatlantic destinations. They carry no advance purchase requirements.
Delta's summer transatlantic fares will be available for purchase beginning tomorrow, June 9. Featuring savings of as much as 45 percent, the fares are for round-trip travel commencing by Sept. 30, 1992, and completed by Oct. 14, 1992. No minimum stay requirement exists, but there is a maximum stay of 14 days. Because of the Summer Olympic games, travel between the U.S. and Spain is not permitted with these reduced fares between July 19 and August 9. The fares are applicable only for round-trip travel originating in the continental U.S.
Delta, with 277 flights each week across the Atlantic this summer, serves more European cities than any other U.S. airline and offers more service between the U.S. and Europe than any other airline in the world.
