DELTA AIR LINES AND UNITED PARCEL SERVICE JOIN AT&T-SPONSORED PROGRAM OFFERING DISCOUNTS ON INTERNATIONAL SERVICES

ATLANTA, Jan. 21 /PRNewswire/ -- AT&T (NYSE: T) is sponsoring a new program with six other corporations, including Delta Air Lines and United Parcel Service, to help small- and mid-sized businesses grow internationally by offering discounts on selected products.
Companies that join the Global Contacts program can receive discounts from 10 to 50 percent from Delta Air Lines, United Parcel Service, Avis Rent A Car, ITT Sheraton Corporation, Dustin Discount Software and Penny Wise Office Supplies.
There is no initial or monthly charge for a business to join Global Contacts. To qualify, a company must spend $200 monthly for AT&T international calls. The Global Contacts program offers these discounts:
-- Delta Air Lines: $50 to $300 savings on international flights.
-- United Parcel Service: up to 20 percent savings on UPS Worldwide
 Express shipping.
-- Avis Rent A Car: up to 40 percent savings on car rentals outside
 the U.S.
-- ITT Sheraton Hotels: up to 30 percent savings on room rates.
-- Penny Wise Office Supplies: discounts on many products,
including up to 40 percent off the price of fax paper.
-- Dustin Discount Software: significant savings every quarter on
 software programs.
"Companies that do business internationally are important to AT&T -- and to the growth of the U.S. economy," said Jim Pagos, marketing vice president of AT&T's Business Communications Services. "We want to help small- and medium-sized companies 'go global.' The services we selected for the Global Contacts program -- as well as our own telecommunications services -- are critical to doing business internationally," Pagos said.
"Many of our customers who do business internationally could save hundreds or thousands of dollars through the Global Contacts program," Pagos said. "And we expect many more companies that are not already AT&T international customers will decide to switch to AT&T to take advantage of the extra value the program provides," he said.
Businesses can receive more information on discounts and order a free Global Contacts membership kit by calling 800-238-7778.
