Delta Has More TransAtlantic Service Than Any Other Airline
ATLANTA, Aug. 4 /PRNewswire/ -- Delta Air Lines, Inc. (NYSE: DAL), with more transatlantic service than any carrier in the world, today announced Special Early Sale Fares for the fall/winter period with significant savings from normal fare levels. The fares apply to travel from the U.S. to all of Delta's 33 European destinations as well as Israel.
"By any standard, these fares represent excellent values, particularly when coupled with Delta's outstanding international service," said Bob Coggin, Delta's senior vice president - marketing. "These fares should prove very popular for anyone considering transatlantic travel during this off-peak season."
Round-trip fares are as low as $448 from New York to several points in Europe, including Amsterdam, Berlin, Frankfurt, Paris and Zurich. Comparable savings with Special Early Sale Fares are available from cities throughout the U.S. (A chart illustrating several sample fares follows.) Fares are subject to government approval.
The Special Early Sale Fares will be available beginning Wednesday, August 5, through September 4 and are good for travel between October 1, 1992, and March 31, 1993. These fares are nonrefundable and require a minimum stay of seven days, with a maximum stay of 30 days. The lowest fares are available for midweek travel (Monday through Thursday) with weekend fares slightly higher. Travel to Europe/Israel under these fares is not available December 17 through December 23, and return travel is not available from January 2 through January 8.
