NEW YORK, Feb. 25 /PRNewswire/ -- Delta Air Lines (NYSE: DAL) today announced new international destinations from New York and Newark.
Beginning in early summer, the carrier will begin nonstop service between Newark International and Frankfurt and between Kennedy Airport and four cities -- Budapest, Copenhagen, Helsinki and Vienna.
"Delta continues to expand in the New York area to meet the needs of today's global traveler and shipper," said Jeff Niven, Delta's district director of marketing. "The addition in May of nonstop service to four more European cities from Delta's Kennedy Flight Center enhances the travel options available to our customers traveling to Scandinavia and Central Europe. Furthermore, we are pleased to announce that our first transatlantic service from Newark International will begin in June with daily nonstop service to Frankfurt."
Niven continued: "This most recent announcement of additional nonstop service is evidence of Delta's commitment to both the New York area and the North Atlantic market. By mid-May, travelers will enjoy nonstop service to 31 destinations from our Kennedy Flight Center. Plus, the Newark to Frankfurt service will provide connections to cities across Central and Eastern Europe via our Frankfurt hub."
Delta's nonstop flights to Vienna begin May 1, while the service to Budapest begins May 2. Nonstop service from Kennedy to Copenhagen and Helsinki starts May 11 and May 14 respectively.
