 AND APPOINTMENT OF NEW PRESIDENT
WESTLAKE VILLAGE, Calif. Dec. 9 /PRNewswire/ -- Delphi Information Systems Inc. (NASDAQ: DLPH) announced today the promotion of Richard R. Janssen, its founder and president, to the position of chairman of the board. Delphi also announced that David J. Torrence has joined them as president and chief executive officer. Donald L. Dave Torrence was, most recently, a corporate vice president of Automatic Data Processing (NYSE: AUD) (ADP) responsible for managing several very large divisions of ADP's Employer Services business. Previously, he served as the president of ADP's Dealer Services division and was responsible for its rapid and profitable growth from $30 million to over $160 million in revenue. During this time, he successfully managed the division through several stages of growth, including several acquisitions and changes in technology, as it became the leading software and service supplier to automobile dealers.
"Delphi has a unique opportunity to grow dramatically over the next several years as the agency automation market goes through a period of significant consolidation," Janssen stated. "Dave Torrence's unique talents and successful experiences managing software and service companies through periods of acquisition and high growth are ideal for Delphi. His presence at Delphi will help ensure that we can take maximum advantage of the opportunities that are open to us, therefore, significantly benefiting both our customers and investors."
