 DELPHAX EXPANDS ITS IMAGEFAST FAMILY
OF HIGH-SPEED AFP IPDS PAGE PRINTING SYSTEMS
CANTON, Mass., Oct. 14 /PRNewswire/ -- Delphax Systems today announced the expansion of its ImageFast family of high-speed page printing systems to include the new ImageFast Series 300/240/190/150 IE and LE models. These eight new web systems join the ImageFast Series 180 IE and LE cut sheet printing systems which were introduced last year.
The new ImageFast systems are capable of printing at up to 300, 240, 190 and 150 impressions per minute (ipm) respectively. All IE models feature full AFP IPDS (Advanced Function Printing and Intelligent Printer Data Stream) compatibility. The IE Series 300, 240 and 190 also feature IBM 3827 emulation. The ImageFast Series LE models offer a choice of IBM 3800 or 3803 emulation. These new products combine high throughput with the reliability and print quality of Electron Beam Imaging (EBI) and flash fusing.
"The market is demanding high throughput combined with superb print quality and full AFP IPDS compatibility, and that is exactly what we deliver with these ImageFast page printing systems," said Alex Cimochowski, president and chief executive officer of Delphax Systems. "This expanded line of new products supports Delphax's strategic goal of building reliable products that deliver high-quality output-fast. The ImageFast Series is now firmly positioned as the market leader by offering the widest range of AFP IPDS solutions in the industry."
The ImageFast Series 300, 240, 190 and 150 models are available in a variety of speeds and feature full duplex imaging, except the Series 150 which is available in a simplex configuration only. The entry level Series 150 prints at 150 ipm, while the Series 190 prints 95 ipm simplex and 190 ipm duplex, the Series 240 prints 120 ipm simplex and 240 duplex, and the Series 300 prints at 150 ipm simplex and 300 ipm in duplex mode. Throughput is based on 8.5"x11" paper.
All ImageFast Series 300/240/190/150 printer models enable the products to handle all points addressable (APA) printing, making them ideal for high-volume high-speed applications that require graphics, landscape or portrait printing, and electronic forms. MICR
Both the IE and LE models offer inline MICR capability as a standard feature. Because all Delphax EBI products use magnetic toner, no special toner is required for MICR printing, thereby enabling Delphax to offer this important feature at no additional cost to the user. Applications
Delphax has identified high-volume applications with time-critical print windows to be key ImageFast targets. Applications that would benefit most from ImageFast's high throughput and functionality include statements, billing forms, inventory reports, checks, direct mail, newsletters, financial reports and manuals. Options
A variety of pre- and postprocessing options are available for all new ImageFast models, including a large roll handler, multi-hole punch and perforator. The ImageFast models also support up to three, 4-tray stackers providing customers with maximum output flexibility. Upgradeability
Both the ImageFast Series IE and LE models offer customers a migration path for speed upgradeability, thereby protecting their investment. Pricing for speed upgrades for IE and LE models is; 190 ipm to 240 ipm, $65,000; 240 ipm to 300 ipm, $80,000; and 190 ipm to 300 ipm, $145,000. Pricing
The ImageFast Series 300 IE or LE carry a list price of $385,000. The list price of the ImageFast Series 240 IE or LE is $310,000, while the ImageFast Series 190 IE or LE is priced at $255,000. The list price for the ImageFast Series 150 IE or LE is $225,000 (all pricing is $US). Availability
All new ImageFast models are now available for immediate delivery.
