DELOITTE & TOUCHE 1993 ANNUAL REPORT OFFERS ASSESSMENTS AND OPINIONS ON KEY BUSINESS ISSUES

WILTON, Conn., Oct. 12 /PRNewswire/ -- In response to the current concerns of American business, Deloitte & Touche has produced a strikingly different 1993 annual report that focuses on six critical issues exerting a strong influence on the global competitiveness of American business today.
Titled "Perspectives on Business 1993," the report contains essays written by the firm's senior partners and advisers on health care reform, the changing tax environment, women in the work force, globalization, legal liability, and total quality management.
"Business executives are searching for advice and guidance. This report will help them find the answers that are right for them and for their organizations," said J. Michael Cook, chairman and chief executive officer of Deloitte & Touche.
Noting that the firm's diversified client base is a comprehensive cross-section of American business, Cook added, "As business advisers, we see a host of organizations from a special perspective in the course of our work and we have a unique expertise to provide critical insights to senior executives."
The annual report is being offered to business executives in a two-page advertisement appearing today in The Wall Street Journal. Explaining why the firm decided to promote its annual report in this unusual way, Cook said, "The six issues we address in our annual report go right to the heart of the ability of American business to compete on a global scale. These are concerns common to U.S. companies regardless of their size. We want to share our ideas with all of the business community -- we want them to read our report and think about what we have to say."
