DELMARVA POWER OFFERS $5,000 REWARD

 WILMINGTON, Del., Jan. 6 /PRNewswire/ -- Delmarva Power & Light Co. (NYSE: DEW) is offering a $5,000 reward in the aftermath of damage done to its Keeney Substation on New Year's Eve.
 The company said it is offering the reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of vandals who fired gunshots into the substation, causing extensive equipment damage and a cooling oil spill.
 The substation is located on Delaware Route 72 (Sunset Lake Road) about two miles south of Newark, Del. Company officials said the gunshots which damaged the substation were fired between 11:45 p.m. Dec. 31, and 1:45 a.m. Jan. 1. Police said they have identified the type of weapon used.
 Anyone with information regarding the shooting incident are asked to contact the Delmarva Power Assets Protection Department at 302-454-4275, or the Delaware State Police, Detectives Troop 2 at 302-323-4411.
 Delmarva officials said all information received will remain strictly confidential.
