 DELL CONTINUES AGGRESSIVE INTERNATIONAL GROWTH;
 DELL SWITZERLAND REPRESENTS SEVENTH NEW EUROPEAN OPERATION
 AUSTIN, Texas, March 25 /PRNewswire/ -- Moving forward in its program of international expansion, Dell Computer Corporation (NASDAQ: DELL) today announced the opening of a wholly owned operating subsidiary in Switzerland.
 Located in Geneva, Dell Switzerland uses the same set of efficient business strategies that have served as a formula for success at Dell's 12 current operating subsidiaries in North America and Europe. These strategies include offering a full range of high-performance, custom- configured personal computer systems and value-added customer services; delivering manufacturer-direct technical support; and making available next-business-day, on-site service.
 "The opening of Dell Switzerland is a key component of our plan to continue to build on our strong forward momentum in Europe and increase our multinational business," said Andrew R. Harris, senior vice president, international. "The inauguration of Dell Switzerland has particular strategic significance because it affords Dell with greater proximity and access to the headquarters of numerous multinational corporations and institutions.
 "Establishing an operation in this leading center for international business strengthens our ability to provide multinational customers with the kind of unbeatable product, value-added service and support package that has made our international business an unrivaled success," Harris said.
 Dell has a well-developed international base that, with Dell Switzerland, incorporates wholly owned operating subsidiaries in 13 countries, and reseller agreements in more than 60 countries including Eastern Europe, Latin America, Asia and Africa. The company's international business has grown from 4 percent of total sales in fiscal year 1988 to more than 36 percent in fiscal year 1992, while total corporate revenue has risen from $159 to $889.9 million respectively.
 Peter Sykes will serve as general manager of Dell Switzerland and brings to Dell many years of experience in the high-technology industry. Prior to joining Dell, Sykes held several positions including most recently manager of Swiss PC distribution for Baggenstos & Co. SA. Sykes will report to Hendrik Geissler, Dell's managing director for Central Europe. As previously announced, Geissler joined Dell in February as part of the company's new international strategic management team.
 Dell Computer Corporation designs, develops, manufactures, markets, services and supports a complete line of personal computers compatible with industry standards. Dell pioneered the direct marketing of personal computers in 1984 and was the first company in the PC industry to offer manufacturer-direct technical support.
