DELIA M. REYES ELECTED DIRECTOR OF H.F. AHMANSON & CO. IRWINDALE, Calif., Nov. 3 /PRNewswire/ -- H.F. Ahmanson & Co. (NYSE: AHM) announced today the election of Delia M. Reyes to the company's board of directors. Her election brings the number of Ahmanson directors to 14. For 12 years, Reyes has been president and co-owner of the ADRIAN Research Group, a full-service market research firm in Dallas. She recently launched a separate venture, REYES Consulting Group, which specializes in corporate strategic planning, particularly relating to minority affairs, community development, and special segment marketing. Reyes is involved in a broad range of local and national civic activities and is a member of the board of directors of numerous organizations. She is immediate past chairman of the board of directors of the U.S. Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and is currently a member of the executive committee of the board of directors of the Greater Dallas Chamber of Commerce. Reyes was recently named Woman of the Year by the Morristown County Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and was named 1991 Female Entrepreneur of the Year by the Dallas Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. She was also named Texas Outstanding Businesswoman of the Year by the Texas Association of Minority Business Enterprises for 1992. Last month, Reyes was appointed by President Bush to be a member of the Glass Ceiling Commission, which was established to study opportunities for the advancement of women and minorities to management positions in business.
