Suddenly but peacefully in hospital, on December 19th, aged 56 years, Sally (nee Cooper), dearly beloved wife of Les, much loved mam of Sarah, dearest sister of Frank and a dear sisterinlaw and auntie. Friends please meet for service at St. John's Church, Greenside on Tuesday 29th December at 11.00am, prior to interment in Greenside Cemetery.

SHERIDAN (Gateshead). Formerly Annitsford. Peacefully in hospital on 15th December, Mary, much loved daughter of the late Eleanor and Alec and dear sister of Ann. Friends invited to service at Saltwell Crematorium on Thursday 24th December at 11.00am.

SLATER (Shotley Bridge). In Benfield Villa, Blackhill, on December 18th aged 99 years, Kate, beloved wife of the late Jim, dear mum of Diane, soninlaw Bernie, much loved nan of Michael, Sarah and Lisa and great grandma of Jake. Friends please meet for service in Blackhill Baptist Church on Tuesday 29th December at 12.30pm followed by cremation at Mountsett Crematorium. Private afterwards. SMITH (North Shields).

Peacefully on Sunday December 20th 2009, aged 84 years, Peter, a beloved husband of Dolly, also a caring dad and grandad, who will be sadly missed by daughters Maureen, Pauline, Doris and Shirley, also by his sonsinlaw, grandchildren and great grandchildren. TUFF (Whitley Bay). On December 19th, aged 73 years, John, beloved husband of Pat, dearly loved dad of Peter and Paul, dear fatherinlaw of Sue and Ruth and much loved grandad of William, Vicky, Callum and Jessica. Funeral Service at St.

Mary's Church on Wednesday 30th December at 1.00pm, followed by committal at Whitley Bay Crematorium at 2.00pm. Friends please meet at church for service. Family flowers only please, donations in lieu of flowers will be collected at church for St. Oswald's Children's Hospice.

VEROW (Sherriff Hill). Peacefully in Dunston Hill Hospital on 21st December 2009, aged 82 years, Susan, beloved wife of the late Ronnie, loving mam of Linda and Brian, much loved grandma of Philip, Shelly and Alex and great grandma of Kaitlyn, Isabella and Thomas. Will be sadly missed by all her family and friends. Friends please meet for service at Saltwell Crematorium on Thursday 24th December at 1.30pm. WATERS (Blakelaw). Peacefully on 17th December, aged 85 years, Mealie, beloved wife of the late Kenny, a much loved mam of John, Paula and the late Shirley and Carol, a loving nana, great nana, sister, sisterinlaw, motherinlaw and aunt to all the family. Funeral Service to take place at the West Road Crematorium on Wednesday 30th December at 10.30am.

Friends please meet at crematorium. Family flowers only by request, donations if desired to N.S.P.C.C.. Afterwards all family and friends welcome back to the Blakelaw Club. She is now reunited with her lassie's and Scott and in no more pain.

WEDDLE (Whitley Bay). Late of Jarrow. Peacefully in hospital on December 20th, Margaret, dearly loved daughter of the late John and Margaret, beloved sister of Dorothy and a very dear friend of Dennis and Elizabeth Forster, Jonathan and Sarah. Service and cremation to be held at Whitley Bay Crematorium on Wednesday December 30th at 11.30am. Friends please meet at the crematorium. No flowers please, donations in lieu would be appreciated for Ladies in Pink Scarves (LIPS), a donation basket will be available at the crematorium.
