DEAN BROADHEAD: CEO, broadhead.
Dean Broadhead, CEO, broadhead., is the distinguished recipient of the 2019 NAMA Marketer of the Year Award.
This award, sponsored by Agri Marketing Magazine, is the most prestigious honor given to an active member of the association and recognizes outstanding accomplishments in agri-marketing.
From his start as a traffic manager at Colle McVoy to working as a PR account executive at Miller Meester in the mid 90s, Broadhead always looked to carve his own path. In 2001, he began building his own company, which is now broadhead.--a 90 -person independent, employee-owned agency.
For 18 years, Broadhead has had a unique vision: to connect urban and rural. This turned out to be fortuitous and predictive as it has become increasingly important to bridge the gap between rural and urban audiences. He has worked in most every category of agriculture and led his team to a decade of double-digit growth. The agency is proud to represent some of the biggest names in agriculture including The Mosaic Company, Cargill, CHS, Boehringer Ingelheim and Firestone.
Fueled by a passion for agribusiness and innovation, Broadhead has expanded his company in both B2B and B2C. He serves core agricultural clients while moving the agency deeper into the consumer marketplace through national campaigns for organizations such as California Almonds, California Strawberry Commission and Dakota Provisions.
In 2016, broadhead. launched Rabbit, a strategy and planning division built around human-centered design and the idea that audience drives everything. Rabbit leverages cultural anthropology along with data and content strategy to deliver unique solutions for clients.
Broadhead started N401 Studios in 2017. This growing sister company to broadhead. is a studio and production unit with capabilities to shoot video and photography and develop other forms of quick-turn, in-demand content.
A sustaining partner of NAMA, Broadhead and his employees are involved in the organization at every level. The agency has also actively supported the NAMA Foundation, creating promotional materials including the new logo and "The Students of NAMA" video.
Broadhead invests in the success of clients and employees and is committed to staying ahead of the curve. He is a valuable change-maker in the industry.
