Cosby's alleged habit of slipping drugs into women's drinks became well documented as more and more women came forward to accuse him of sexual assault. As accusations emerged, footage appeared from 1991 in which Cosby joked about a pill that would serve as an aphrodisiac.
"Spanish fly was the thing that all the boys from age 11 on up to death 6 we will still be searching for Spanish fly," Cosby (http://www.msnbc.com/msnbc/cosbys-history-spanish-fly-jokes-comes-back-haunt-him#55409) told Larry King at the time. "And what was the old 6 the old story was, if you took a little drop 6 it was on the head of a... pin! And you put it in her drink. And the girl would drink it and," at which point King interrupted to say, "And she's yours."
Cosby was back in the news Monday as (http://www.ibtimes.com/bill-cosby-net-worth-jury-selection-sexual-assault-trial-begins-2542037) he appeared at a courthouse in Pittsburgh where the beginning phases of jury selection for a sexual assault trial were set to take place. The 79-year-old comedian was accused of drugging and molesting Andrea Constand, a Temple University women's basketball team manager, in 2004.
Cosby, who pleaded not guilty to the charges, claimed his time with Constand was consensual and that he had merely given her Benadryl at the time of their sexual encounter. Cosby has maintained his innocence throughout all allegations and at one point recently, told a radio host that racism could be a factor in the accusations.
"I don't hear her say anything. And I don't feel her say anything," Cosby said about his time with Constand, according to deposition documents. "And so I continue and I go into the area that is somewhere between permission and rejection. I am not stopped."
If Cosby is convicted, he could face up to 10 years in prison.
