DAVIS ELECTED TO PARKER DRILLING POST TULSA, Okla., Nov. 18 /PRNewswire/ -- Parker Drilling Co.
(NYSE: PKD) today announced that James J. Davis has been elected the company's vice president of finance and chief financial officer.
Davis, previously vice president and treasurer of MAPCO Inc., has 20 years experience in treasury departments of independent and major energy companies. He served in financial posts at Mesa Limited Partnership, Gulf Oil Corp., and Exxon Corp. "We couldn't have found a better candidate to be our chief financial officer," said Robert L. Parker Jr. president and chief operating officer. "With vast experience in the energy industry, Jim will greatly contribute to Parker's management team." A native of Denver, Davis is a graduate of the University of Colorado-Boulder and the Krannert Graduate School at Purdue University. Parker Drilling is a publicly held, worldwide drilling contractor based in Tulsa.
