DAVIS & GECK ANNOUNCES RENEWAL OF THEIR CONTRACT WITH THE UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL CONSORTIUM

 WAYNE, N.J., April 1 /PRNewswire/ -- Davis & Geck, a division of the American Cyanamid Company (NYSE: ACY), announced today that the company has been awarded a renewal on their contract with the University Hospital Consortium (UHC), a not-for-profit alliance of leading academic health centers throughout the country.
 The company has held this contract for the past five years. The new agreement will extend the contract for three more years with an additional three-year option exercisable by UHC.
 "Based on our previous agreement, we believe that tremendous benefits have been realized by UHC member hospitals over the last five years," said William S. Poole, president of David & Geck, "and we are very pleased about the continuation of this rewarding relationship for many years to come."
 The University Hospital Consortium comprises more than 55 leading academic health centers and more than 10 affiliated hospitals throughout the United States. The organization was founded in 1984.
 Davis & Geck, based in Wayne, has more than 80 years of experience pioneering scientific advances and is one of the world's largest providers of surgical and wound management products.
