DAVID MYERS' BETTING.

ASTON Villa open as BetVictor's 13/10 favourites on Saturday to secure the three points necessary to effectively secure their top-flight status, whereas opponents Hull, who require a point to be absolutely safe, are priced at 14/5 by Stan James; bet365 post 12/5 about the stalemate.

The pair drew 0-0 when they met in October. Punters expecting it to be similarly tight can get 10/11 (Ladbrokes) about the fixture yielding fewer than 2.5 goals, while another goalless outcome is priced at 9/1 by Skybet.

Blues, following Tuesday's defeat, head to Bolton knowing that they must win. Paddy Power price them at 17/10 to register three points against a side who beat them 2-1 at St Andrews earlier in the campaign.

Only one of the pair's last dozen league meetings has ended all square, although nine of those twelve duels have been settled by a single goal. Accordingly, the 10/3 offered by Winner.com for it to end as a score draw holds appeal, as does Betway's 6/1 for it to finish one apiece. A 1-0 Blues victory is priced at 9/1 by bet365.

West Brom, who face Arsenal at The Emirates on Sunday, know two points that would effectively guarantee top flight football at The Hawthorns next term, a scenario which means this particular encounter is no foregone conclusion for Arsene Wenger's men.

Not surprisingly, Arsenal open as BetVictor's 2/5 favourites, whereas Albion, likely to arrive in ultra-defensive mode, are priced at 11/1 by Stan James; bet365 post 5/1 about the stalemate.

Given West Brom's predicament, the 7/1 available at Stan James for both halves to finish level looks attractive, as does Betway's 5/6 for Albion to win when handed a two goal start.

Backers expecting an open, carnival-style contest when Wolves take to the Molineux pitch as champions and Ladbrokes' 2/5 favourites on Saturday may consider adapting a less bullish approach when they realise that the visitors, Carlisle, still have a mathematical chance of avoiding relegation.

Unlike their hosts, Carlisle must win and Paddy Power's 5/6, marked in favour of both teams finding the net, has generated support. Those anticipating a goalfest can get 7/10 (Winner.com) about the fixture producing more than 2.5 goals, while William Hill chalk an attractive 14/1 against it finishing 2-2. Punters who consider Wolves capable of sweeping their opponents aside, meanwhile, will be interested to discover that Skybet post 10/1 against them winning 3-0.
