DATAPOINT FILES PATENT INFRINGEMENT SUIT AGAINST VTEL

 SAN ANTONIO, Texas, Oct. 25 /PRNewswire/ -- Datapoint Corporation (NYSE: DPT) announced today that it had filed suit against VTEL Corporation of Austin, Texas, alleging infringement by VTEL of Datapoint's U.S. Patent Numbers 4,710,917 and 4,847,829, each for a Videoconferencing Network. The lawsuit was filed on Friday, Oct. 22, 1993, in U.S. District Court in San Antonio, Texas, and seeks unspecified damages and an injunction against future infringement.
 Datapoint, a leader in providing computer-based networking, telephony and video communication technologies, markets its products and services in 49 countries worldwide.
