 DATAMARINE INTERNATIONAL ANNOUNCES ORGANIZATIONAL CHANGES
 POCASSET, Mass., Aug. 13 /PRNewswire/ -- Datamarine International, Inc. (NASDAQ: DMAR), announced organizational changes relating to operations management.
 Geoffrey W. Kreiger, age 42, has been promoted to the new position of president of the Datamarine Business Unit and reports to the board. Kreiger has been leading this unit's marketing efforts since September 1991. The Datamarine Business Unit has been heavily impacted over the past three years by the contraction in the market for its recreational marine instrumentation and only recently returned to marginal profitability. Kreiger has been instrumental in managing the company through this downturn. Kreiger continues to serve as the treasurer of Datamarine International, Inc., a position he has held since October 1988.
 David M. Brown, chairman, said, "In making this promotion, the board wishes to provide the Datamarine Business Unit with a proven leader who, with the board, is committed to the long-term financial success of the Datamarine brand and the loyal employees in Cape Cod, Mass., who for over 20 years have been leading manufacturers of digital depthsounders, instrumentation and, more recently, electronic charting products."
 Peter D. Brown, age 44, retains his position as president and chief


executive officer and director of Datamarine International, Inc., positions he has held since September 1991. Peter Brown is a major shareholder of the corporation and receives no remuneration for his executive position. He continues to be responsible for the long-term strategic development.
 David C. Thompson, age 62, retains his position as president and chief executive officer of SEA, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Datamarine International, Inc. and reports directly to the board upon which he currently serves as director. He has resigned is position of executive vice president and chief operating officer of Datamarine International Inc. a position he had held since October 1989.
 Datamarine International, Inc. is a technology-based U.S. manufacturer of marine electronics, industrial fluid instrumentation and land mobile radios.
