DATA RACE: COURT ENTERS PRELIMINARY INJUNCTION

 SAN ANTONIO, Texas, Feb. 19 /PRNewswire/ -- Pursuant to an agreement of the parties, the United States District Court for the Northern District of Texas has entered a preliminary injunction restraining Herb Hensley and Les Staples, but not DATA RACE (NASDAQ: RACE) or any other employees of DATA RACE, from working on the type of products that would use technology in the pending patent application of Spectrum Information Technologies, Inc. during the pendency of the litigation between the parties, until Spectrum's pending patent application is either issued or the application is terminated by the United States Patent and Trademark Office, or until Dec. 17, 1993, whichever comes first. DATA RACE is continuing to challenge Spectrum's United States Patent No. 5,127,041 in the litigation pending in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Texas.
