DARREN CLARKE will name his three wild cards on Tuesday and two are shoo-ins - his best mate Lee Westwood and two-time major winner Martin Kaymer.
The final place on the European Ryder Cup team is tough to call. Big-hitting Belgian Thomas Pieters only just missed out on automatic selection and is in fine form while Russell Knox has won twice on the PGA Tour this season.
But with five rookies already on the roster, Clarke should look no further than Graeme McDowell.
Even by their own high standards, the Americans are going to make it intense at Hazeltine - McDowell (above) has already shown he has the bottle to handle it.
