DANIEL P. BARRY RETURNS AS AMSCO CFO

PITTSBURGH, April 20 /PRNewswire/ -- David A. Nelson, chairman, president and chief executive officer of AMSCO International, Inc. (NYSE: ASZ), announced today that Daniel P. Barry has rejoined the company as chief financial officer and senior vice president - finance and planning.
Barry left AMSCO in February after having expressed a desire to move on to new challenges after the close of the Company's fiscal year. Since February, Barry has continued to serve as a director of the company and assumed additional responsibilities as a consultant.
"I was pleased when Dan approached me about the possibility of returning to AMSCO and that we were able to work it out," Nelson said. "He has always been a strong contributor, and we're glad to have both him and his superb financial expertise back on board."
Barry explained that his decision to return to AMSCO was motivated by a reassessment of his priorities. "It really is true that you don't appreciate the value of something until it's gone," he said. "Even though I'd thought about this for some time, I regretted my decision to leave almost immediately. I'm delighted to be a part again of this exceptional organization and its outstanding management team."
Pittsburgh-based AMSCO International is a leading provider of infection control, decontamination and surgical products and services to healthcare, scientific and industrial customers.
