DAN NETS A BEAUTY; Exclusive Model jets in to Glasgow to be with Rangers star Cousin.

Byline: By Samantha Booth

THE stunning model girlfriend of Rangers striker Daniel Cousin happily admits she knows nothing about football.

Tatiana Rawaw says she loves to go to Ibrox to watch Daniel play but only when she has someone within her to explain what is happening.

And when asked who she was supporting in the only football match that mattered last weekend, the beautiful 25-year-old replied: "Rangers, of course."

The Rwandan-born beauty added: "I know absolutely nothing about football, except that when the ball goes into the back of the net that's a goal.

"I love going to see Daniel play but I only go when we have guests staying so I have someone who can explain what's happening because otherwise I'd have no idea what was going on."

The regular on the New York and Paris fashion scene moved to Glasgow four months ago to be with Daniel, although modelling commitments and visits to her family in Belgium mean she's not spent much time in the city yet.

She said: "I travel a lot because of my modelling and I like to go back to see my family in Brussels as often as possible.

"It is hard for them to come here because as a model I need to be able to leave as soon as a call comes in, but I do miss them.

"There are a lot of us, a typical big African family, so it is always noisy with lots of chatter, which I really miss when I'm in Scotland.

"I have not really made any friends here yet, so it is just me and Daniel which is nice but quite different when you are used to having a big family around you."

Still, at least there is plenty about her new home that Tatiana likes, including the city's architecture and parklands, out for dinner, shopping and the apartment she and Daniel chose to to be their new home.

Of course, like most people who come to Scotland from foreign climes, she does though find the weather a bit hard to take.

She said: "Glasgow is a very beautiful city and, like most women, I love to go shopping. It is good for that.

"Daniel and I also like to go out for meals but we haven't managed to go to a disco as yet.

"I love our apartment too. It's the first time Daniel and I have lived together so I've been trying to do some decorating to make it feel more like home but it is hard because there was a lot already here when we moved in.

"The only thing I don't like about Scotland is the weather, it's cold and wet. When I first came over there there doesn't seem to have been any nice days since."

Tatiana's mum and five brothers and sisters moved to Belgium 12 years ago to avoid the escalating violence in her homeland, Rawanda.

She began modelling when she was at school as a way of giving her more confidence. She said: "I was very shy when I was at school so modelling was to help me overcome that.

"My mum made sure my schoolwork came first though so it wasn't until I left school that I was allowed to concentrate on modelling."

Asked about how and when she met Daniel, Tatiana coyly declines to comment but there is one thing she is happy to speak about, her boyfriend's hairstyle. Daniel revealed a new bleached look when he took to the field against Barcelona at the Nou Camp nearly two weeks ago. He had it shaved off before our shoot however.

Tatiana said: "I liked it very much, I love it when people make changes like that. What I didn't like about that game though was I wanted to watch Daniel play because he was in Spain and I missed him but I couldn't find the game anywhere on TV.

"I thought the people in this country were meant to love their football but then I can never seem to find the games on TV."
