DAN JENSEN APPOINTED EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT AND GENERAL MANAGER FOR UNIVERSAL STUDIOS FLORIDA

 ORLANDO, Fla., Jan. 6 /PRNewswire/ -- Dan Jensen has been appointed executive vice president and general manager for Universal Studios Florida, it was announced today by president and chief operating officer Tom Williams.
 In his new role at Universal, which he assumed Jan. 1, 1993, Jensen is responsible for the Operations, Entertainment, Food, Merchandise, Administration and Maintenance Groups and will report directly to Williams. "Dan brings a wealth of management experience to our company," said Williams. "He is an important addition to our team as we continue our record-breaking growth."
 Jensen is a 13-year veteran of MCA INC., one of Universal's parent companies. Since 1987, he has been executive vice president at MCA's Yosemite Park and Curry Company, responsible for the company's overall operations.
 Prior to that, he served as vice president Plant Services and Guest Recreation, with day-to-day operational responsibilities for all guest recreational program services. In addition, he oversaw all purchasing, warehousing and construction functions.
 Before joining MCA, Jensen was a Certified Public Accountant with Price Waterhouse in the Los Angeles and Johannesburg, South Africa offices where he was responsible for a number of Fortune 500 accounts. He is a graduate of the UCLA Graduate School of Management.
 A collegiate basketball player, Jensen has remained an active competitor and participant in several sports. He and his wife Suzanne, along with their children Ben and Amy, are avid hikers and skiers.
 Universal Studios Florida is the number one movie studio and theme park in the world. This 444-acre attraction provides guests the opportunity to "ride the movies," including such favorites as "Back To The Future...The Ride," "E.T. Adventure," "Earthquake" and "Kongfrontation."
