DAMES & MOORE MAKES ANNOUNCEMENT
DAMES & MOORE MAKES ANNOUNCEMENT LOS ANGELES, June 25 /PRNewswire/ -- Dames & Moore (NYSE: DM),
international environmental and engineering consultants, today reported that net income for the first fiscal quarter ending June 26, 1992, is expected to be below the company's earlier expectations.
George D. Leal, chairman and president, said that fiscal 1993 first quarter earnings per share will be up approximately 30 percent from the fourth quarter of fiscal 1992. However, the company's net revenues have not grown significantly in the first quarter, compared with the fourth quarter of fiscal 1992, limiting earnings growth in the period, he said. He attributed the slowdown in net revenue growth to continued soft economic conditions in California, a significant market. "We expect continued growth in earnings and an increase in net revenues in the second quarter of fiscal 1993," Leal said. Dames & Moore is a worldwide provider of comprehensive environmental and other specialized consulting and engineering services. It has 117 offices in 20 countries, staffed by approximately 3,300 professional and support personnel. In its 54-year history, Dames & Moore has completed more than 93,000 projects for more than 24,000 clients in more than 140 countries. -0- 6/25/92 /CONTACT: Tom Wick or Bill Coffin of Financial Relations Board, 818-783-2400, for Dames & Moore; or Robert M.
