DALE CARNEGIE LICENSEE FOR SOUTHERN MICHIGAN (THE RALPH NICHOLS CORP.) ANNOUNCES NEW LEADERSHIP TRAINING AND A NEW BOOK 'THE LEADER IN YOU'

DETROIT, Jan. 13 /PRNewswire/ -- On Dec. 7, 1993, a new book entitled "The Leader in You: How To Win Friends, Influence People and Succeed in a Changing World" was introduced worldwide by Dale Carnegie & Associates, Inc. The book is a roadmap for any person who strives to improve their leadership skills and can benefit people from all walks of life -- whether you are a business executive, teacher, parent, civic leader or volunteer.
Today, The Ralph Nichols Corporation (the southern Michigan and southwestern Ontario licensee of Dale Carnegie Courses and the No. 1 producer for Dale Carnegie in North America) announces the availability of a new leadership training program which draws from the concepts in "The Leader in You" book. "'The Leader in You' training classes build on the fundamental concepts of Dale Carnegie by enhancing a person's self-confidence, discipline and focus needed to bring out the leader in each one of us," said Mark Nichols, president of The Ralph Nichols Corporation. "Over 5,000 people including business executives, teachers, parents and civic leaders benefited from our various training programs in 1993 alone," said Nichols.
"The Leader in You" training program offers tips on how to: identify your own leadership strengths, build trusting relationships, eliminate an "us vs. them" mentality, control your worries and solve problems more creatively. Total quality management is also an integral part of leadership training. Today's business leaders realize that total quality management doesn't come without total quality leadership.
The Ralph Nichols Corporation has enrolled over 92,000 students from southern Michigan and southwestern Ontario over the past 10 years. Graduates include employees of Amway, Chrysler, Ford, General Motors, the UAW, Detroit Edison, General Dynamics, many major Detroit-area banks -- as well as from thousands of small to medium-size companies. Individuals who attend classes on their own also benefit from Dale Carnegie training and constitute a large portion of enrollments.
Approximately 65 instructors teach Dale Carnegie classes throughout southern Michigan and southwestern Ontario in areas such as Troy, Livonia, Farmington Hills, Grand Rapids, Windsor, Ann Arbor, Lansing and Jackson, just to name a few.
"The Leader in You" co-author Stuart Levine (CEO of Dale Carnegie & Associates, Inc.) is visiting metro Detroit on Jan. 13 and 14 to assist Mark Nichols launch the first "Leader in You" training program in this market and discuss highlights of the newly released "Leader in You" book. The training program is open to the public. It will be held at the Hyatt Regency in Dearborn beginning at 8 a.m. Friday, Jan. 14.
