D2 wraps in up.

D2 Food Systems has added Technowrapp's proven semi and fully automatic pallet stretch wrapping equipment to its comprehensive range of Italprojcct end-of-line packaging machinery, including carton sealers, robots and palletisers. The cost effective stretch wrappers are available as either rotating ring, platform or arm options.

As sister companies located in Italy, Technowrapp and Italproject provide a convenient one-stop-shop for all D2 Food Systems end-of-line requirements. Produced from painted steel with stainless as an option and combining state-of-the-art technology with cutting edge film delivery performance, D2 Food Systems offers a variety of pallet stretch wrapping units to suit virtually any application.

The high speed A800 is an efficient, fully automatic model capable of stretch wrapping up to 100 pallets per hour. It features a rotating ring, which stabilises the load during wrapping and for added hygiene benefits, can also offer hermetic packaging. Pallet wrapping occurs due to the rotating action of the trolley, which is joined to the ring around the load, combined with the vertical operation of the ring itself. With the A 800E model, a polyethylene film sheet is positioned at the top of the load via an integrated dispenser to provide a waterproof barrier protection.

The B 150 stretch wrapper has a rotating arm and can operate at speeds up to 60 pallets per hour. In addition, the entry-level P10 S model is a semi-automatic machine capable of wrapping up to 20 pallets per hour. Pallets are loaded onto a rotating platform using a fork-lift truck.

For added versatility and flexibility, D2 offers a good variety of optional extras to facilitate pallet stacking, centring, clamping and lifting. Plus, a range of pallet handling systems including roller and chain conveyors, rotating tables, shuttleon rails and transfer devices.
