D. BRENT ISRAELSEN TO HEAD JURISOFT DIVISION OF MEAD DATA CENTRAL, INC.
DAYTON, Ohio, Aug. 12 /PRNewswire/ -- D. Brent Israelsen will join Mead Data Central, Inc., on Aug. 16. as president of its Jurisoft Division, replacing Richard I. Anders, co-founder of the Cambridge, Mass., software company. The announcement was made by Rodney L. Everhart, president of Mead Data Central. To enhance its strategic role, Jurisoft will expand its marketing of Mead Data Central's desktop applications software to the legal community to include Folio Views(TM) and related applications from The Folio Corporation, a software subsidiary of Mead Data Central. Israelsen will report to Bruce E. Rhoades, vice president of strategy and business development at Mead Data Central. Jurisoft was acquired by Mead Data Central in 1989. The company was founded in 1984 shortly after Anders graduated from Harvard Law School. "During his time at Jurisoft, Richard provided strong and creative leadership and helped make the company an important part of the Mead Data Central family," said Everhart. "At the same time, as his five- year, post-acquisition milestone approached, he expressed a desire to explore new entrepreneurial opportunities. In order to provide Jurisoft every opportunity for success in its new mission, Richard and I have agreed to change leadership as quickly as possible." "My years at Jurisoft have meant a tremendous amount to me, and I wish Jurisoft and Mead Data Central great continued success," said Anders, who will assist the transition as a consultant to Mead Data Central. Israelsen comes to Mead Data Central from the national law firm of Morgan, Lewis & Bockius of Philadelphia, where he has worked for the past eight years as a government contracts attorney. He also has been manager of attorney applications for the past three years, serving as the liaison between the firm's attorneys and the information systems department. Prior to that, Israelsen completed a clerkship with the United States Claims Court and served as a special assistant to the deputy solicitor at the United States Department of the Interior. He holds a bachelor's degree from Utah State University and a law degree from Brigham Young University. Jurisoft became the first company to offer software programs for automatic citation-checking and redlining for use by the legal profession.
