D-day for ITV news.
ITV bosses believe they will get the go-ahead to axe News At Ten at a crunch meeting today. They reckon TV watchdog the Independent Television Commission will approve their plan.
A senior executive said: "All the indications are that it will be 'Yes you can move it' but they will want to save face and impose a string of conditions."
One option could be to force ITV to include a three-minute bulletin at 9pm for viewers who can't get home for the proposed main news at 6.30pm.
ITV bosses want to kill off the bulletin after 31 years so films don't have to be shown in two parts.
